West Coast Swing (WCS) is a modern, street style of Swing which can be danced to many genres of music, including Blues, Top 40 pop, Funk, Jazz, Soul, Motown, and R&B.

West Coast Swing allows for extensive interpretation of the music by both partners in a ‘conversation’ style, and has a very distinctive look and feel of smooth elasticity. It was recently featured on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in 2008 and ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in 2010 (See Gallery).

Many students comment on how much they love the music that WCS can be danced to and that they can go out to clubs and social events and dance wherever they are!
