Jamie and Erin have been a successful dance partnership since 2004. They have placed and won in both national and international dance championships and are regularly invited to judge and teach at West Coast Swing events.
 
Jamie and Erin discovered West Coast Swing while competing and teaching dance professionally in the United Kingdom. Since then, they have learned from some of the best West Coast Swing dancers in the world. Some of their teachers include:

· Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollman (Ranked No.1 in USA)
· Mario Robau Jr. (two time US Open Classic Champion)
· Skippy Blair (‘First Lady of Swing’ since 1938)
· Ben Morris (US Open Champion Showcase)
· Marianne Nunez (two time US Open Champion)

In 2009, Jamie and Erin established Brisbane West Coast Swing, the first dedicated West Coast Swing dance school in Queensland. They are the only West Coast Swing teachers in Queensland and only two of four West Coast Swing teachers in Australia to become qualified with the prestigious Golden State Dance Teachers Association (USA), the longest running dance teachers association in the USA. 

Jamie and Erin were also invited to teach and choreograph for Channel 7's 'Dancing with the Stars’ 2009 series.
 
Jamie and Erin's teaching style specialises in making dance fun and easy to learn. They were extremely excited to expand their dance school in 2011 to become Groove Dance Academy, encompassing a variety of styles so that everyone can find their passion!
